When you’re at the top of the game everyone wants a piece of you; Family, friends, associates and whoever can get to you for that matter. Good Afternoon beautiful people, what it do? But when your plane takes a nose dive and crashes everyone and their mother will run for cover, leaving you there alone to pick up the broken pieces. Life will deal us all cards that we think in our minds we can’t handle. But God will place certain people in your life to assist you and help you pick up every single piece of broken glass that was shattered. Being the life of every party is cool, but what’s even greater is having a hand full of people who mean well around you when you finally take flight to complete your journey. I said that to say, “It’s okay if they all take cover when you can’t do anything for them any longer.” That’s just God clearing the way to surround you with the people that were meant to be there all along. Don’t forget to forgive those who ran for cover, but be like that elephant that never for gets and keep it moving in a positive manner. This is your comeback, pick up the pieces and walk into your purpose! Be EPIC and stay encouraged

Are you dying to live or are you living to die? I think when we have near death experiences one or two things will happen. 1. We’ll take that life changing event and build on it. 2. We’ll allow that near death encounter to stop us from living. Either way beautiful people we still have to get through this life. When I was crossing over, I wasn’t ready to go. All I could think about was my two beautiful daughters and my mother. I told God I couldn’t leave just yet, I had so much that I needed to complete. I also reminded HIM of what he promised and the vision HE gave me. The other side is not a place to be afraid of when you are on the right side of your MAKER. It was a very peaceful place, I just wasn’t ready to go and I expressed that very passionately to HIM. Some may say Trent that’s crazy as all get out! Say what you will, but we all were given choices at birth and in the end. What it do beautiful people? I can tell you this, my passion burns deeper than it did before I fell ill. I’m not here to preach or tell you to get it together, we’re all adults here and know right from wrong every single time we do something that does not line up on the right side. I’m just sharing my experience with you all. I said all of that to say I’m very happy to be able to continue very positive conversations to move each of us forward. I will leave you all with this, someone asked me last week what do I hope to accomplish with all of my literary works? I replied, “I write to release, if it happens to touch a few people along the way that’s a blessing in itself.” Be EPIC ya’ll! Stay encouraged

In most cases when that inner boy finally runs into the inner MAN it’s a little too late. Fellas she’ll be long gone when that light bulb finally power on. Here’s the positive side: The former (YOU) meets the present (YOU) and teaches you that youth & ignorance is/was bliss. The former will always run out of time, but know in order to grow the present has to realize he cannot exist without the former. Be EPIC

GOD has a way of grabbing your attention when you’ve forgotten who gave you all those things you praised and boast about. What it do beautiful people? There is no other person on planet earth that can humble you or bring you to your knees like the Almighty! We all need that reminder at times when we take people, places and things for granted. When it’s all said and done; everything that you acquired is no longer yours it belongs to your family or the State. Be EPIC and ask yourselves: All the money and cars I talked about? Is this death greater than those items I bragged about? Stay encouraged

When going through that storm, you never think of or see the outcome. Morning beautiful people; what it do? I promise you, the light gets brighter the closer you get to the other side of that dark tunnel. When traveling under that rain cloud, you have to continue to move and pray through that storm. HE’LL hear you even when you can’t hear HIM or see HIM! Giving up on life or yourself should never become an option! Be EPIC and know everyone goes through trials and tribulations even if they won’t/don’t admit it to themselves! Stay encouraged

What is the first thing that come to the mind when a MAN says ~> DWB?) I had the most horrible experience while turning into the bank parking lot today. Out of nowhere I see flashing lights and countless of police officers yelling and pointing their guns at me demanding me to “put the window down” “let me see your hands” “stick your hands out of the window!!” As I’m saying to myself, “What the fuck is going on?!” I’m pulled from the car as they wrestled me down to the pavement. Guns still pointed at a defenseless man. I could hear one of the officers say, “I have it pointed at your head; try me.” I could see the adrenaline growing within each of them by the second, hoping I was the guy they were looking for. My seventy with a breeze kicked in as I said, “I would appreciate it if you are going to pull on me, pull from the right side of my body.” I recently had surgery on the left side of my body.” The officer that was attempting to get physical said, “What’s your name?!” In that moment I felt like Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and Malcolm X wrapped into one. One part me was fighting not to curse those white boys out, while the other part of me said fuck it your clean as a whistle handle them like their handling you. Another officer standing off to my left calls the officers name as he shakes his head saying, “That’s not him.” Be EPIC and know the guy they were looking for was a twenty three year old with dreads. I’m a 40 year old with a bald head.

We all have that trait of persistence! You just have to tap into it! David Bly said it best, “Striving for success without hard work is like trying to harvest where you haven’t planted.” What it do beautiful people? Obstacles are just that ~> OBSTACLES. When we run into them, there is no need to climb over them or run through them. Simply go around them and continue on your God given path! Be EPIC and know you should never turn around and give up!
